A Scientific Trip to study Odonata 2018
A scientific trip and a field study by Dr. Salah Lamin and Dr. Taher Al-Shaibi, specialists in Entomology from the Department of Zoology at the Faculty of Science and Dr. Altaher Altabet from the Faculty of Medical Technology, University of Tripoli on Saturday and Sunday 14-15 July 2018.
Trip included several spring of fresh water in the cities of Nafusa area (Western mountain) north-west of Libya. In the cities of Nalut, Gado, Josh, Shakshuk , looking and search for Odonata, Dragonflies (Anisoptera) and Damselflies (Zygoptera) to document the presence of this insect in these areas (Scientific Classifications) and to take live samples and photos of them in their places of origin.
The visit included the following Spring of fresh water: Spring of Shakshouk, Spring of Temporal, Spring of Mazu, The blue Spring, Spring of Karma, Spring of Al-Gzaya, Spring of Thala Nalut, Spring of Al-Josh, Spring Taqant.
