Restoration of the ancient mosque and the Sufi Lodges  of the historical city of Agar

As a member of the Wadi Ash-Shati Society for Heritage, we have been working on the restoration of the old and ancient mosque and the Sufi Lodges of the historic city of Agar City in the Wadi Al-Shati area in the province of Fezzan in south-west Libya.

The Society has collected financial donations for this project from several sources and donors.

Architectural engineers from the city of Agar and members of the Society supervised the restoration process so that the original building materials are used from the village land and that modern materials such as cement and others are not used for restoration.

The construction process was carried out by local workers and builders who specialize in old buildings similar to these buildings. The restoration process was carried out to be similar to the original old buildings.
