The Old Door of House No. 41

An admirable painting of the Libyan Contemporary Artist Fuzi Suewi.

An old  dark green door of the traditional Libyan house in old Madinah (old town in Tripoli) with two Golden Knockers. Everybody will notice the perfect harmony  in painting through the  use of  different degrees of yellow colors  with the green ones  and the upper ornamentation of the door with the tiny details. The affects of rain water on the yellow wall adds an extraordinary touch to the already  painted beauty .

The moments of adoration of this painting

I remember this wonderful painting when I first time saw it, many years ago, when I was a student at the university during my visit to one of the Halls of the Tripoli International Fair in the early 1980s.

I remember then, that I had stopped in front of that painting for a long time to understand every inch of it. The showroom was full of exquisite fine art paintings of several other contemporary Libyan artists, but this painting of Old Door of House No. 41 was the most beautiful and very attractive to visitors, or so I thought, or perhaps I was intrigued and attracted to its splendor more than others. I loved this painting from the moment my eyes fell on it.

Yes, I stood in front of the painting and I meditate on its beauty, and I imagine of the artist's skill in the development of those touches of art despite the simplicity of drawing and lack of sharp details.

I remember that, the painting  was hanging on a pillar alone in the hallway, and I remember that I had stood in front of the painting for a long time, so I felt embarrassed by the length of what I stood in front of it, and I meditate and move my head right and left staring at it. Such this behavior does not happen to me very much.

Yes, I liked that painting very much, and was affected by its beauty and splendor, and whenever I look at the picture of that painting after many years later, the memory returns to me of those moments. The moments of adoration for this painting.
