In coordination with the General Authority for the Environment (Jebel al-Akhdar), a workshop was held entitled "Medical Waste and Pharmaceutical Waste: The Problem and the Treatment Strategy" presented by Prof. Dr. Altaher Altabet  on Sunday 3/3/2019 at the Municipality of Shehat City in Green Mountain. General of the Environment in Eastern and Southern Libya and representatives of the Ministry of Health, Omar Al-Mukhtar University, and many organizations concerned with the environment and some hospitals and health facilities in the public and private sectors. The workshop covered several points related to the management of medical waste in Libya and the management of pharmaceutical waste.
